Trisha is a gorgeous brindle pit bull terrier mix. She is about 1 year old
and is looking for a home. She has been at the City Shelter since May
6th. She loves to be out and about with people and is very willing to give
smooches to anyone who is willing. She is UTD on her shots, Heart worm
Negative and is waiting for someone to take her home. If you are
interested in adopting Trisha you can go to BARC located on Carr
Street. Her ID number is A0990464, ask for Kim or Jamie at BARC and

Meet Bailey, a beautiful Brindle that was dumped at BARC by her owners.
Very scared and upset Bailey was not one of the favorite dogs there with
the Kennel people. It was only a short time that she would meet her doom.
It was one volunteer that knew how scared she was and had a special
trainer come out to meet her. Bailey quickly felt safe and assured that
things were going to be ok. She was quickly moved to the adoption ward
where she is waiting for the home she so deserves. She doesn't want to be
dumped again and would like a forever home this time. If you are
interested in Bailey please call us at the clinic at 713-861-1155.

Please send me somebody who'll care! I'm tired of running, I'm sick with despair. My body is aching, it's so
racked with pain. And I pray as I run in the rain, that someone will love me and give me a home. A warm cozy
bed I can call my own. My last owner neglected me and chased me away to rummage in garbage and live as
a stray. But now I'm tired and hungry and cold. And I'm afraid that I'll never grow old. They've chased me with
sticks and hit me with stones while I run in the streets just looking for bones! I'm not really bad, please help
me if you can. For I have just become a "VICTIM OF MAN"! I'm wormy, and I'm ridden with fleas and all that I
want is an owner to please! If You find one for me, I'll try to be good. I won't run away and I'll do as I should. I
don't think I'll make it too long on my own, cause I'm getting so weak and I'm so all alone. Each night as I
sleep in the bushes I cry, cause I'm so afraid that I'm gonna die! And I've got so much love and devotion to
give, that I should be given a new chance to live. So PLEASE, PLEASE answer my prayer and send me
somebody who WILL really care...
Here is the adorable Squeezer. She is a cute little girl that has charmed
her way into quite a few hearts. She is about 1 year old and though she
needs some groceries, she is a love bug. Her favorite thing to do with the
volunteers at the city pound is to lay in the grass next to you and just be
petted and loved on. She is current on her vaccines, micro-chipped and
spayed, all she needs now is a forever home to continue those belly
rubs. If you are interested in Squeezer you can go to BARC located on
Carr Street. Her ID number is A0988157, ask for Jamie or Kim and they
can help you through the adoption process. Her time is almost up, she
has been at BARC since April 14th and is considered a 90 day dog.
Please help to save her life and open your home to a shelter dog.
NALA LOVES KIDS! It's usually hard to tell at BARC because we don't
have many kids around, but recently there was a family with 2 little boys at
BARC adopting a dog and when NALA saw them she got so happy.
Previously, she had been a little shy, but on seeing the kids outside
playing with another dog it was obvious NALA wanted to join the fun. Poor
NALA was dumped at BARC by her previous owner and she probably
misses her old life. She's a really easy-going and sweet dog with a fun, silly
side. NALA will Sit for a cookie, and she likes to have her belly rubbed.
Come play with NALA -- and bring the kids! Look for NALA at BARC in
South D Ward, I.D. number A0990280.

What a handsome and fun boy this one is. He is certainly a 'goober' and
just as sweet as can be. He did great during the bath time and was
grateful for the time to play outside and be free. He has to be crate
trained since he was relieved to be able to go outside and not in his small
area that he was living in. He is certainly young and has some growing to
do, but we can surely see that he will be a gorgeous boy once he fills out.
He does great on a leash and would be a great family member If you are
interested in **** you can meet him at BARC located at 3200 Carr Street.
His ID number is A0997558 and can be found in the South Ward

Here is Bolt. He is an owner turn in and though he was scheduled to be
put to sleep, we knew he was something special. We asked the people at
BARC to give him a chance for a real home, one that wont dump him and
leave him in such a terrible place. Bolt is a great boy, he is trying to
understand why he is there at the shelter and what he did wrong after 3
years of being devoted and loving to his family. He so deserves a better
place and a great home that will be devoted to him. If you are interested
