How did a dog like Cooley end up in the city shelter
(BARC)? Cooley is a handsome red guy with a gentle
soul. This boy has such good manners – he must
have been someone’s companion. He knows how to
sit and wait and is a dream on the leash. Cooley was
rescued from his sad situation in the shelter on the
90th (last day) of his tenure. This boy was just too
special to face his end.
Cooley certainly suffered severe weight loss over his
3 month stay at BARC and gave him little chance of
being adopted. It was said that he had an underlying
health problem that caused his emaciated condition.
But good news for Cooley – his physical exam and
lab findings found him perfectly healthy – no
parasites, no heartworms, no underlying health
problems.
With just one week of good meals, Cooley has
transformed into a striking young man – very smooth
